A Free of Charge Course for Parents of Teenagers run by Foroige.
This 6 week course is open to all parents and guardians of 11 – 17 year olds from Dublin 24 and Whitechurch. The reason for this is that Foroige do not have a base in Knocklyon.
The course looks at practical ways to:
· Build closer and more enjoyable relationships with Teens
· Help Teens grow up to be happy, have good self-esteem, be responsible and reach their full potential in life
· Encourage positive communication in the family so that:
. Teens are much more likely to talk to their parents about what is going on for them
. There is less arguments and stress as everyone gets into the habit of working out their problems and disagreements in a calmer way
· Use simple techniques that keep parents calm and in control when setting boundaries, managing behavior and keeping their Teens on track.
The next 6 Week Parents Plus Course is starting Thursday 28th January 2016 from 9.45am – 12.15pm in Foróige Tallaght Youth Service, Main Road, Tallaght Village, Dublin 24.
