The Knocklyon News brought our attention to the Callan Cousins this month. There are nine of them in total and there is one of them in every grade of St Colmcilles from junior infants to sixth class. We were intrigued by this and put the question to them “What is it like to have so many cousins in the same school?” Below are some of their responses:
“It is good having my cousins in the same school because you can meet up with them in yard. It is lovely seeing them every day and wave to them as their classes pass.”
“It’s good sharing a school with my cousins because you can go on messages to their classes and it’s very nice, it can really cheer you up when you are miserable”
It’s good having my cousins around the school because we are good friends and we play together and it is wonderful seeing them every day!”
Clearly this family, are delighted to have each other in the same school, which is really lovely to see.
