The first event of the new school year took place last Friday, September 4th with a coffee morning for the new junior infants parents in the junior school hall. 
There was a huge turn out with queues for the tea and coffee at 9am!
The morning allowed the new infants parents to chat away from the busyness of drop off and collection time and swap contact details. Both Mr Boyle and Yvonne Dunn spoke briefly, many cups of tea and coffee were consumed, mothers, fathers, minders and younger brothers and sisters all chatted and the morning was a great success!
Based on feedback from previous years, the coffee morning took place earlier this year. We are always aware that many working parents are unable to make daytime events. A class contact list was set up for each class and parents were able to add their contact information to it. One parent from each class took the list and will distribute it to other parents. If you couldn’t make it on the morning and would like your contact information shared with the other parents in your childs class, each class now has a list doing the rounds so do ask other parents at drop off or pick up. Or if you want to email the parents association we can try to put you in contact with the correct person from your class.
