We had a fantastic February Special Needs Coffee morning with mum’s new and old coming along for a coffee and a chat. Junior School Vice-Principal Ita Corduff and Special Needs Co-ordinator Carol Doody joined us and were able to advise new parents whose children are starting Junior Infants in September about how special needs resources are allocated.
And a mum whose son is in Sixth class was able to give advice on how to make the transition to Secondary School. We were joined by baby Mark who was a little tired and too small to play with our selection of toys. But his mum enjoyed a slice of Gwen’s gorgeous coffee cake.
Everyone is looking forward to March’s Coffee Morning, same time, same place. We hope you can join us.
The Special Needs Coffee Morning takes place on the first Friday of each month from 10am in the Iona Centre. All parents are welcome.
